Frequently Asked Questions regarding our Pay Monthly plans
Is there anything to pay upfront?
Nope! Pay monthly websites are completely pay-as-you-go and there are no upfront fees.
What do I get for my monthly fee?
It’s the complete website package! You get a bespoke, fully responsive website built to your individual specifications. Web hosting and 500mb email hosting are also included and if you don’t have a domain name we’ll sort this too. We provide an HTTPS certificate (padlock in browser) and take responsibility for all aspects of your website’s ongoing maintenance including core file and plugin updates as well as content amendments. We also take daily online backups and regular offline backups to make sure your site is protected against any issues that might arise. Finally, we’re always on hand for technical support should you need us.
Am I tied into a contract?
Not at all – there is no minimum term. The only thing we ask is that you give us 30 days notice of cancellation if you decide to leave us.
How and when do you take payment?
When you first sign up to your monthly plan we’ll send you a direct debit mandate to take the agreed payment from you on the same day each month.
What happens if there’s a problem?
We make daily online backups and frequent off-line backups of your site and in the extremely unlikely event that your site goes down it’s our responsibility to get to work so you’re back up and running.
What changes can I make to my website?
As part of your monthly fee you can ask us to make changes to your website whenever you like. You’ll have on-going support as part of your plan and you’ll even be able to make some changes to your website yourself.
Can I host my website elsewhere?
Not with our pay monthly website plans as the web design, ongoing support, hosting and maintenance are integral to the package and not transferrable. Ownership of the website design remains with us although you retain the rights to all the content and imagery you provided and of course you are welcome to take that elsewhere if you wish. This is different to our upfront payment websites where you have full ownership of your website, which means you can take it away and host it wherever you like. In this instance you’d also be liable for maintenance, updates and any changes that are required to your website.
I don’t need my website anymore – how do I cancel?
You can cancel at any time with no cancellation fee by letting us know by email, phone or in writing. All we ask is that you provide at least 30 days' notice.
If I cancel what happens to my domain name?
If you bought the domain name yourself you just need to remove any DNS entries that point your domain to our servers. If the domain was registered as part of your plan then it will be under our ownership until the domain registration expires. If you want to keep the domain name we can transfer this to you for a small fee.
If I cancel what happens to my website?
As your website is built and hosted as part of an integrated monthly plan - and cannot be transferred - your website will be archived if you choose to cancel our services. Any images, documentation or plugins that you have provided or paid for separately will be sent to you. However, if you decide to bring your website back online, then all we need to do is re-activate your plan and everything is restored!
