Search Engine Optimisation (or SEO) is the process of improving your website’s chances of ranking higher in search results from search engines such as Google and Bing. In particular, "onsite" SEO is the process of making your website search engine friendly.

In simple terms this just means adjusting particular aspects of your website so that search engines are able to crawl and better understand the content and structure of your website.

There are many technical aspects to onsite SEO such as alt-tags, keyword density, heading styles, image tags and much, much more.

On their own most of these aren't going to yield dramatic results but when they're combined in the correct way they can be used to increase your position with all the major search engines over time.
